As you know, I’ve been doing the Brighter Skin Challenge and trying my best to keep up with all the recommendations. This morning I took my first multivitamin since the chewable Flintstone ones I ate as a kid (so embarrassing, I can’t believe I’m admitting it) and for lunch I had a skin-brightening meal of salmon (yay for omega-3s!), spinach (got vitamins A, B, C, E, and K covered), and mashed potatoes (yummy!). So I’ve basically completed today’s challenge. As for the previous days’ challenges? In tackling Day 14’s spot correction suggestion chiediteatro chiediteatro , I’ve started using a vitamin C-infused face lotion but because I have sensitive skin I’ve steered clear of alpha hydroxy acid. And thus we come to Day 13—the color-your-hair-correctly challenge.I need your help with this one. You see, I’ve been highlighting my hair on and off for about as long as I can remember. After the initial highlighting session where I came back with chunky white-blond streaks (don’t ask), I’ve mostly kept to warm, caramel-chestnut highlights. Last year, though, I returned to my “natural” brunette roots (i.e. I had a dark brown glaze applied professionally over my existing highlights and have continued to go back for touch-ups). But with summer in full swing, I’m starting to crave my formerly sun-kissed tresses. The question is should I get highlights or stick to the dark side?
